The world was rocked by the death of one of the most famous comedians of the last century. It has been a year since the sad news of Roberto Gómez Bolaños (better known as Chespirito) death struck us and still it seems unbelievable. This multifaceted actor, scriptwriter, director, composer and producer has made us laugh for over 40 years and this, is hard to forget.

He was born on a 21st of February, 86 years ago in a middle-class family. His father was a painter and a cartoonist and his mother a bilingual secretary. He studied engineering but never worked as so and was a boxer before becoming a famous actor. Soon he became an acclaimed writer, which gave him the nickname of Chespirito or Little Shakespeare. El Chavo del Ocho, Chapulín Colorado and Chespirito were his most famous TV shows. He proved to be a pioneer of his time, as his shows where one of the first to be broadcasted internationally and are still running.

The story of Frida Khalo is a story of strength and resilience. The most famous artist of Mexico had a life dominated by pain and suffering. But somehow, she never let pain dominate her and instead she confronted it bravely and expressed it in her paintings. She was a tough woman: smoked, drunk and cursed like men and turned herself into the main theme of her artworks, becoming an acclaimed self-portrait artist.

Frida was born in 1907 and at the early age of 6 she suffered from polio, disease that caused several consequences to her health. At the age of 18, she had a bus crash with her lover, which provoked severe injuries in her spine and pelvis. She was always very politically active and joined The Young Communist League and the Mexican Communist Party, besides she is considered as a feminist icon. In 1929 she married Mexican artist Diego Ribera who was a big fan of her work but this relationship was as well very turbulent and they divorced and re-married several times. It is known that Frida had to coop with the numerous infidelities of her husband, including her own sister. Due to her health issues, she could not be a mother, fact that was hard for her to overcome.
