International Women’s Day, its Genesis and Significance
Steeped in history, is the genesis of the International Women’s Day — a day which was once nothing short of a distant dream. Earlier celebrated on the 28 th Day of February, it is now celebrated on the 8 th Day of March, to celebrate the joy of being a woman. However, it did not always start that way, on the contrary, traces of its origin was in a society shrouded in the superiority of men — something that is still being battled over in the corporate scenario.
